Description of the Rebreather - Ray & Dolphin Course:

Here's your chance to try it with the Semi closed Rebreather Dolphin/Ray Specialty course.
This Specialty course introduces you to the Dräger Dolphin/Ray semi closed rebreathers.
For training purposes we use our on-site lecture room and our own heated training pool, with qualifying in Bass Lake or Badgat.
This 3 day course encompasses shallow water skills plus 4 dives on the Dräger Dolphin Semi-Closed Circuit Rebreather. Classroom time for lectures and reviews run a minimum of 8 hours.
Topics covered during the course include history and evolution of rebreathers, comparison of open, closed and semi-closed circuit, practical mechanics of the Dolphin, gas physiology, formulas and physics, dive tables, dive planning, mixing Nitrox, advantages, safety, shallow water skills and dives.
Prerequisites:
- Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization) OR Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization) with proof of at least 10 logged dives beyond open water training dives
- Enriched Air Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization)
- Minimum age: 15 years old
Course Outline:
This Specialty course introduces the planning, organization, procedures, potential problems and hazards of semi-closed rebreather diving. It is specific to the features, accessories, maintenance and proper use of the Dolphin/Ray semi-closed rebreathers.
It is needed to have:
- Towels
- Swimwear
- Wetsuite
- Fins
- Mask
