Family Trips. Renew your relationship with the kids this summer away from TVs and computer games while viewing wildlife, stargazing and, of course, roasting marshmallows around the campfire. Kids are welcome on all of our adventures except for those listed as "adults only" and the CO School of Mines trips (minimum age 15). Grandparents, kids and families, join us for a two-day canoe trip for grandparents & their grandkids (Mom & Dad are invited too!). Gain a whole new sense of "family" while enjoying the outdoors together.
Geography. Learn about the power of water, wind, and weathering in a western environment. Explore all the exciting activity surrounding a moving river through geographic field exercises as you explore the dramatic canyons and paddle the rivers. Centennial partners with the University of Northern Colorado to offer classes for 3 college credits and for general interest. Credit classes include classroom sessions and are not discounted. Non student discounted seats, for the canoe trip only, are based on availability. Geology. Take a huge step into the geologic past and marvel at a landscape created eons ago when dinosaurs, not "cowboys," roamed the Wild West. Centennial teams up with the Colorado School of Mines to offer classes for 2-3 continuing education credits for teachers and for general interest to the public (includes 1 pretrip classroom session). Non teachers may take the full course for full price and have a reserved seat. Non credit, discounted seats, for the canoe trip only, are based on space availability. Ages 15 and up. Gourmet Food Trip. Professional chef, Laura Polanco will present two amazing gourmet dinners on the Colorado River. The trip will also include fine wine and many cooking tips from Laura. You won't be losing any weight on the trip so come prepared for river fare beyond belief! Notes:
