The Bear’s paradise – so hunters call Kamchatka peninsula, not in vain. The distance of Kamchatka from the rest world, its climatic conditions and also the density of population less than 1 person per 1 km2 have made the ideal base for growth of Kamchatka Bear population, which belongs to subspecies of the biggest brown bears in the world - Ursus arctos piscator. The average weight of Kamchatka Bear is 300 - 600 kg, and the sizes of skin are 8 - 10 ft (270 - 310cm). So, these bears are bigger than their relatives in Chukotka, Magadan or Khabarovskiy region.
If hunter would like to take a big Kamchatka Bear with a splendid skin, has to hunt in spring, because at that time fur is better and the hunt is easier. The snow covers the earth during spring hunt. So, it needs to move on skies or on snowmobiles in hunting estate. On the seacoast small motor boats are also used. Our English-speaking manager will accompany you and help in airport.
Hunting Area: Elizovskiy, Sobolevskiy, Essovskiy, Tigilskiy, Palanskiy and Olyutorskiy regions of Kamchatka peninsula.
Accommodation: Hotel, hunting lodges, heated tents.
Transfer: 9-hours flight Moscow – Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski or direct flight from Anchorage to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski, then to the south of Kamchatka – 1-1,5 hours by helicopter or 8 hours by bus and after this 1 hour by helicopter; to the north of Kamchatka -2,5 hours by small domestic plane from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski and then 1 hour by helicopter to the hunting area.
Close and ammunition: It is very important to have very warm close, mount glasses, sun glasses and gloves. Hunter should have your own slipping bag. Recommend calibers: 300 Win. Mag, 375 H&H Mag.
Arrangement of the Bear hunt: 12-days trip / 10 days of hunt from/to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski, providing of the hunt, round trip on helicopter to the hunting area, all transfers in hunting area, accommodation with meals, field preparation of the trophies, 1 Bear trophy independently on it’s sizes, CITES permission.
