Whitewater Rafting on the Saboomick River:
With rapids named "Jaws" and "Labyrinth", this unique drop and pool run is simply a blast! We use 13ft rafts that allow out guides to manuver you through the drops and chutes. This trip is great for families who want to show their youngsters a great outdoor experience or for rafters who just want to see the fun side or whitewater rafting.
Fun Yaking on the Seboomook Section of the Penobscot River
Inflatable kayaks are easy to control, self powered crafts that are both agile and sturdy enough to take on serious whitewater rapids. Even if you don't have any kayaking experience, you can quickly master the techniques needed to control an inflatable kayak.
The Saboomick river is mired with large boulders and rocks, which create an almost zig-zag course which you must manuever your craft. Don't worry, our Seboomook trip is extremely safe. Our equipment is very new, top notch and designed for professionals. And, we have expert guides along with you to show you the route to follow and help out with any problems or questions.
This trip is short enough that we can usually make two runs down if time allows. We also include a riverside lunch in this trip, so you'll be set for a full day's worth of activity.
Book early as space is limited. Please note that a minimum booking requirement is needed for any launch. Please check with us to make sure we have a launch scheduled on the date you need.
Whitewater Kayaking on the Penobscot and Saboomick Rivers:
Paddling offers people of all ages the opportunity to experience the outdoors in an unique and exciting way. Paddling fosters personal growth physically, mentally, and emotionally. Navigating a rapid, even if its only class II, by yourself for the first time delivers an euphoric high that most people never experience. Equipment and teaching techniques have taken huge strides in the past five years. Its never been easier to learn.
Why should I learn?
Our instructors are the key to the paddling experience. All of our instructors teach because they love paddling. They spend their free time honing paddling skills. All of our instructors use ACA (American Canoe Association) certified teaching techniques.
