One Day Trip:
Once everyone checks in, you will be given a safety orientation and paddling instruction prior to your river rafting tour. We'll launch and float a nice warm-up section for several miles until we pull over for lunch at our private riverside lunch spot. Relax while your guides prepare a satisfying deli style buffet lunch. After lunch we head downstream and make our way into the famed "American River gorge".
In the gorge, the river drops an average of 33 feet per mile, making some great whitewater along the way. We will challenge such rapids as "Fowler's Rock", "Upper Haystacks", "Satan's Cesspool", Bouncing Rock", and "Hospital Bar Rapid". At our take-out point, where the river meets Folsom Lake, our shuttle bus will meet us for the short, relaxing ride back to our resort. Once we arrive back, we have "happy hour" where refreshments and food are available at our outdoor grill and beer garden. Photos of your trip will be available for purchase at our gift shop. Trip check-in time is 10:00 AM.
Super American Trip:
For adventure seekers. We'll run all the big rapids on the south fork in one long day! Includes both the upper and lower sections, with a stop for lunch at River Park Resort. Plan on a good workout with lots of rapids too! Meets at 9:00AM.
Two Day Trip:
Our 2 day trips begin when you and your group checks in at River Park Resort at 9:00AM. You'll have an hour to set up your camping equipment or to relax before the rafting begins. We put in at River Park Resort after a safety talk and orientation about the river. The first 3 miles is a good warm-up of class 2 and 3 rapids. We will then pull over and have lunch at our riverside lunch spot. Lunch is a deli-style buffet with sandwiches, salad, dessert and drinks. After lunch we get back on the river and look forward to the rapids of the "gorge" section. This fantastic section of whitewater includes "fowler's rock", "satan's cesspool", "upper and lower haystacks" and "hospital bar" along with other class 3+ rapids. Photos of your raft will be taken at one or more of these fun rapids. At the end of the day we'll ride the shuttle back to camp.
After you return from your first day on the "gorge" section you can enjoy a cold beer or other beverage and then check-out your photos from the "gorge". Happy hour begins at our camp as soon as the trip returns. Dinner will be served by our staff on our outdoor dining patio at 7:00PM. After dinner you can relax at camp, sit by the campfire, or play games in our game room. Bring your own camping gear or you can rent it from us at our river store.
On the second day, after a full breakfast served at our dining patio, you will be driven to the upper Chili-Bar put-in. The action starts immediately as you take on "Meatgrinder", "Racehorse bend", "Triple Threat" and on to the infamous "Troublemaker rapid". From there, the pace relaxes as we float past Sutter's Mill, where James Marshall discovered gold and started the historic gold rush of 1849. Around a few bends, we find ourselves back at our campground where a bar be cue lunch will be served. You may view your photos of another great day of rafting and prepare for your trip home.
Weekend Overnight Trip:
This package includes one day of rafting with one night camping. Lunch, dinner and breakfast is also included in the price of this trip. This is a great choice for groups who want to relax during their trip but don't have the time for 2 days of rafting. Dinner is served on Saturday nighs. Breakfast is served on Sunday morning.
Half Day Trips:
Lunch is not provided for these trips. Minimum group size is 4 persons for all half day trips. If you have fewer in your party, call for availability.
Upper Section: Exciting trip through a rugged narrow canyon of class 3 rapids. These trips meet at 9:00AM and raft until 1:00PM.
Lower Section: Take an afternoon ride through the most non-stop whitewater on the south fork. Trips meet at 1:00PM. Plan to be back by 5:30 PM.
