Beautiful Maral is a obviously marked mountain deer, the real motherland of which is on Altai mountains. In the magnificent Altai mountains in the gold autumn forests at the altitude of 1500 – 3000 meters above the sea level the classic hunts for Maral during matting period are conducted (in September). Usually professional guides obviously can roar as a Maral on the so called Maral’s trumpet this is a traditional method of hunt in Gorno-Altaisk. It’s possible to make one or several days tour on horses or on foot from the base camp (with night in the tents high in the mountains). Usually every day it’s possible to see something: maral, Siberian roebuck and ibex, wolf and bear. The sizes of the big mararals are between 10 and 16 kg.

The peculiarity of Gorno-Altaisk is, for sure, the fact that in many areas it’s also possible to hunt successfully for the subspecies of Siberian Ibex - Altai Ibex (Capra sibirica sibirica), - in the mountain and rocky areas. It’s also possible to hunt for Brown Bear.Hunts for Siberian Roebuck are conducting in the plain territories and in the areas near Barnaul town.
