We have a number of dive spots that we use on a regular basis; fortunately each dive location is varied, and regular divers are always guaranteed a superior underwater experience. The main dive locations are shown below - click on a flag or the name of the dive site to find more information. Where we dive on a particular day will depend on the weather conditions, safety of our divers always comes first.

Our diving sites:

Cueve de Elefant
The Springs (Las Fuentes)
Neptuns Garden (El jardín de neptuno)
Punta de Luz
Santa Clara
The bear (Punta de oso)
Stonehenge
Los Alpes
Cala Toix
Santa Maria
Penon De Ifach
Los Arcos

Isla Mediana

Illeta Mitjana is an island located between Altea and Benidorm. The island is a superb location for deep diving. A coral reef is on one side of the island providing amazing underwater scenes. On the southern side of the island lies a old diving boat that has been sunk for divers amusement. It is possible to dive around the island if you wish to experience all the beauties of the island and the diverse underwater life.

Cueve de Elefant

Cueva de Elefante - known as the Elephant Cave, is an under water cave located between Altea and Benidorm. The cave is found at 12 meters depth in crystal clear water. The exterior of the cave is mostly sand, providing a secure platform for practicing diving skills for those who do not wish to enter the cave. The cave itself is 25 meters long, so additional equipment is required to provide a safe diving environment. Torches and safety lines can be hired if you don't have the required equipment.

The Springs ( Las Fuentes)

We call this site as well the Sunday afternoon Place.
On the very beginning of the wonderful Cliff Cabo Toix this is the place where the students get in contact first with saltwater. First, because it is a very easy and shallow site, and second, there can be no better place to see the incredible underwater world for the first time. When we are going to anchor you can see the huge rocks standing there, in a garden of Posedonia Seaweed. These rocks are forming small canyons where you can see under these rocks and in the seaweed is our, let´s say fish kindergarten. Big shoals of fish you can find here.
Last but not least of course the freshwater springs. In just 5 meters deep the freshwater in coming out of the Cliff and have given this place it’s name. It is fascinating to see with which power the water is pumping up.
Don’t miss it.

Neptuns Garden (El jardín de neptuno)

The Cliff is it what makes this site under and over water something special. The cliff looks here more like a Swiss cheese and give us here the chance to explore some small caves and grots.
In the Neptune Garden you are diving in about 12 and 16 meters deep and we can give you nearly the guarantee to get in touch with moray eels, conger eels and octopuses.
This is one of our best places for our night dives.

Punta de Luz
Cliffdiving pure.
In a max.deep of 22 meters a very popular spot. Very often we see here big banks of sardines. Groupers, Common dentex, sea bream, greater amberjack, barracudas and friends are already waiting for them.
Sometimes a really spectacular spot.

Santa Clara

This 14 meter long fish trawler went down for it`s very last trip on the seaground at 19 meter deep. It is a nice contrast to the cliff dives on the Cabo Toix. Not to far away from the coast, there are some nice rock formations to visit beside. Perfekt for Advanced Open Water Courses.

The bear (Punta de oso)

This is a spot with on of the biggest varieties of our coastline. We throw anchor in about 14 meters deep. Now we do have two options to dive this place.

Route A:
This is only something for advanced divers. We swim on the surface beside the cliff. Here we descend in a deep of 5 meters and found us directly in front of a caves entrance. We put the torches on and the cave absorbs us with its magnificent charm. Inside we found us back in a small air filld chamber where you can admire the design of nature.
Then we dive back and the warm and bright full blue of the Mediterranean sea will welcome you back in sunlight.

From here on starts the Route B:
We descend on sandy ground in 14 meters deep. We dive beside the cliff for a while to get then a bit deeper to see a small reef under us. In about 20 meters the ground changes from rocks to sand and this is the place where we can meet the stingrays and the barracudas.
We ascend a bit and found us face to face to the object who gives this place its name.

Stonehenge

On the very last tip of the Cabo Toix the cliff offers us as well the deepest treasure. We go down on the anchor line in a depth of 19 meters. Exactly here the rocky ground changes to Posedonia seaweed and sand. With some luck you can see while descending stingrays and from May till August the beautiful sunfishes in the deep blue. We dive deeper beside some rocks and then some minutes over sand. In 28 meters we arrive a disintegrate fisher boat. In good conditions it is very impressive because you still can see winches and other big parts of the equipment in a wide range beside the wrack.
Always our dive computer and gages in mind we dive back to the cliff. On our way, suddenly appear a big gate what seems that we saw that somewhere else before.
Stonehenge !
Three huge rocks are forming here this so unreal looking gate. Big shoals of smaller fishes are looking for shelter inside the gate.
Now be go up to 10 meters and follow the cliff back to the boat.

Los Alpes

A fantastic dive site.
We go only in small groups and if the weather is on our side. We are anchoring on the most westerly point of the Punta Toix in 18 meters deep. Just after some short minutes we find us back in the Alps.
We named this place like this, because the area is filled with really huge rocks, like mountains, who give us often a very good visibility till 18 meters deep. And then like cut with a knife it changes to a quite turbulent impression. For that it seams like you are in the mountains in the morning with it’s fogy valleys and it’s brilliant clear picks.

Cala Toix

The perfect place for all kind of divers. In this small bay between Altea and Calpe we can anchor in just 5 meters over sand. From here you can do easy and colourful dives till a deep of 12 meters. Big shoals of
Makes this spot perfect for beginners and students.
For more advanced divers we throw anchor in 14 meters and dive out of the bay to the open side of the Cabo Toix.

Santa Maria

An old coast trawler have found here it`s end and a incredible big number of fishes a new home. Brown meagre, black faceed, striped blenny, black goby, piper gurnard, tailed sea perch, cardinal fish, greater weaver, scorpionfish, moray eel, congereel....
In just 12 meters this is a very easy place to dive and you do have a lot of time to explore the whole wrack and to learn about ther partnership.

Penon De Ifach

The Peñon de Ifach is the landmark of the Costa Blanca. For it’s good visibilities a very popular spot. Still you can see big banks of swarm fish standing beside the huge rocks, trying to find shelter against there hunters. But every year we must see as well that the variety of species is going lower. What we can see getting much better every year on the Cabo Toix, we see develop worse on the Peñon. Too much boat traffic and to much bad teached or briefed divers.
This place show us very clear our responsibility to teach good new divers and to respect the rules of good diving.

Los Arcos

This is a easy place and we are diving in a deep about 14 meters. Located on the north side of the Peñon de Ifach you find a reef who invite you with it’s wonderful arcs and rock formations. Here as well you can see big schools of swarm fish like brass….who are looking for shelter from the sometimes big swell.
