Acuarios Jandia wellcomes all certified divers, dive beginners snorkelers and their families in the Sotavento Beach Club/Costa Calma! There are some facts about guided scuba diving trips, dive courses and dive center.
For Scuba Diving in Spain (not for Discover Scuba Diving!) it is required by law:
- a medical statement of heath that you are fit for diving not older than two years (you could get the certification as well in Costa calma from our Hiperbaric doctor for just 25 (younger than 40 ) or a little bit more for people who are older than 40!
- You must have as well an insurance who will pay when you have a diving accident (you could make that as well in our Divecenter, we are working with one insurance online, so do not worry about wasting time!)
The divecenter Acuarios Jandia was established in 1988 in the Sotavento Beach Club and is so far the oldest divecenter located in Costa Calma. It is very important for us that we could offer you a very wide range of dive & snorkeling oportunities runing by a very professional team.
We allways take care that our groups are max. 5 divers for one instructor, depending on experience & certification level.
We are the only divecenter at the Costa Calma who is a part owner of the private recompression chamber locatet in Jandia which supports our divers with a 24 hours medical emergency hotline for dive accidents.
Fuerteventura and specific the Costa Calma area is famous for European longest sand beaches which are not crowded like others at the canary islands. Diving is possible the whole year, the water temperature is from 18 degrees in January up to 24 degrees from July to October.
Dive courses starting daily on request following PADI or CMAS standards!
- The divecenter has a big Bauer compressor connectet with a NRC Nitrox membran to offer Nitrox up to 40% for free.
- We use Aqualung/Scubapro BCDs, Scubapro regulators with octopus and 5, 7, 10, 12 or 15 liter cylinders for long dives and 7mm wetsuits from barakuda to feel comfortable. Dive Computers from suunto (for air and Nitrox)
- Torches for night dives
- For transport we use our buses or 5,7m Zodiac "Acuarios"with all papers need for professional use
- there is always oxygen and medic first aid material on board/in the car.
