M14421 is a small rafting company near Franklin, Dillsboro, Cherokee in Western North Carolina and we go down the Tuckaseigee River. This is the perfect river for family rafting, and we have been taking kids as young as 4 years old since 1988. We have all the experience you need to get your family down the river. The Tuck a is class I and II river, definitely whitewater, just not hardcore whitewater. The perfect combination for fun and excitement for families.
There are 2 trips a day, 11am and 230pm Tuesday - Sunday; open on Mondays in July only. There are always guides on the river with you, leading, following and helping you. We have rafts that seat 2-6 people, and 1 and 2 person Duckies (inflatable kayaks) available every day.
M14421 is family owned and operated and we know kids, I have 2 step-sons; 1 son and 1 daughter all between the ages of 18-8. I understand when you have an older child that doesn't want to do "baby stuff" with the youngest child. That's why we offer Duckies, it gives the older child a chance to paddle the river themselves, while the younger ones can enjoy the river as well!
Notes:
- Age 15 and up is $25 per person
- Age 4 to 14 is $20 per person
- An additional $10 per person to guarantee a guide in your boat.
