Join us for a full day of family whitewater adventures on the Zoar Gap section of the Deerfield River in western Massachusetts. This is our most popular guided family rafting trip. Appropriate for rafters as young as 7. This section of river offers intermediate whitewater, and spectacular scenery. Fun and challenging for the whole family! Thanks to dam releases on the Deerfield River in Western Massachusetts we are able to raft May - October. The Deerfield River runs through the foothills of the Berkshires Mountains along the historic Mohawk Trail. The river is known for it's excellent trout fishing and outstanding whitewater boating. Rafting and funyaking trips vary from mild to wild. The scenery is breath taking and the Deerfield River is clean and clear. From first time families to whitewater fanatics the Deerfield River offers a trip for all.
Deerfield River - Zoar/Fife Brook Section guided: Easy Class I-III whitewater, Min. Age 8. 10 miles, 4 - 5 hours on river, picnic lunch.
Deerfield River - Dryway Monroe Bridge Section Guided: Aggressive Class III-IV whitewater, Min. Age 14. 2.5 - 3 hours on river, Steak and Chicken barbecue.
Deerfield River Funyaks self guided: Easy Class I-II whitewater, Min. Age 5 for double, 10 for single. 8 miles, 3 hours on river, riverside snack.
Deerfield River Float Trip Guided Rafting Trip: Easy Class I-II whitewater, Min. Age 5. 8 miles, 3 hours on river, riverside snack.
Deerfield River Dryway Rafting:
The Deerfield River Monroe Bridge section offers continuous whitewater action. Flowing through a narrow gorge, this whitewater rafting run is full of holes, big waves, great surfing and technical rapids. The whitewater grows in intensity throughout the day. The last two rapids, "Dragon's Tooth" and "Terminator," require steady paddling and exact maneuvering by guides and guests to insure a successful run! The Deerfield River Dryway offers a challenging day of whitewater rafting in Massachusetts, even the most experienced rafters.
