You spend two full days on the river. There is plenty of time to enjoy the whitewater, hiking, fishing or just relaxing around the campfire under a star filled sky. Our resort provides whitewater river equipment, rafts, canoes, inflatable kayaks, camping equipment, tents, sleeping pads, all meals, beginning with lunch the first day and ending with lunch on your last day, and access to the East's most beautiful and remote stretches of whitewater. Maine Kennebec River Overnight - This trip starts with an exciting day of inflatable kayaking. These very stable boats are perfect for enjoying the sport of river kayaking. After some lessons and a little practice in your own inflatable kayak, we paddle down river and wait for the release from the dam. The rise in the river signals our roller coaster whitewater ride. We spend most of the day playing in exciting class II and III whitewater rapids. After a riverside picnic lunch, we switch to our 26 foot, 8 person voyageur canoes and paddle out to a remote camping spot on Wyman Lake to camp for the evening. That evening we enjoy a traditional Maine lobster bake. The next day we whitewater raft on the exciting class IV and V rapids of the Kennebec Gorge.
Maine Kennebec East Outlet - The twenty-three miles of the Maine's Kennebec River between Moosehead Lake and the Forks is one of the finest two-day whitewater trips in the country. You get your choice of an inflatable kayak, or canoe, to challenge the fun class II & III whitewater of the East Outlet. This five-mile run ends in a remote part of Indian Pond. After a picnic lunch, we cross Indian Pond to a secluded lakeside camp for a lobster dinner, and the solitude of the Maine wilderness. The next day we switch to eight person whitewater rafts for our descent of the mighty Kennebec River Gorge with it's class IV -V rapids.
Canoe Trips - A beautiful one day canoe trip down a classic Maine river. The current is steady with class II whitewater as the river flows through Maine forest. Take your time picnic along the shores or try your luck fishing for Maine Salmon or trout. We provide you with canoes, pfds, paddles, and transportation to and from the river.
Moose River Bow Canoe Trip - The upper Moose River outside of Jackman Maine meanders slowly for miles through prime wildlife habitat. The river is punctuated by several short ledge drops and rapids that can be run, portaged or lined if necessary. The river offers Holeb Falls to explore, and surprising mountain vistas that appear and reappear as the river winds its way to Attean Pond. The Moose River Bow Trip makes an excellent 3-4 day trip, suitable for families and small groups. An optional hike up nearby Sally Mountain provides an encompassing view of this unique and scenic region.
Maine Kennebec Super Trip - Two days, 23 miles of fun and adventure, inflatable kayaking, rafting, 10 person Indian canoes, and a float plane moose safari. On the first day, of this Maine adventure we funyak or inflatable kayak the challenging class II and III whitewater rapids on the Middle Kennebec River. Along the trip we stop for a deli lunch and a hike to Moxie Falls Maine's highest water fall. After the day on the Middle Kennebec River we return to Lake Moxie Camps and board a float plane for an ariel moose safari and scenic tour of the Kennebec River valley. The second day of this whitewater adventure we raft the thundering class IV and V whitewater rapids of the Kennebec Gorge!
