"FunYaks" are available in single and double styles, are very maneuverable and require no prior experience to paddle. Prior to launch our professional guides will give you basic instructions on how to paddle, steer, and enjoy the thrill of paddling your own Funyak. We offer both guided and unguided trips daily all season long. We provide shuttles, all equipment, professional instruction, and a picnic lunch with most trips.
Kennebec River - Maine: This section of the Kennebec River offers exciting class II and III whitewater fun to paddle for all skill levels. Covering almost eight miles of this beautiful river the trip is both wet and wild. After a full morning of whitewater we stop along the banks of the river for lunch and a short hike to Moxie Falls Maine's highest waterfall.
Lower River, The Forks to Caratunk - Maine: Join us for this wonderful 8 mile trek. This is a great trip for families or those who are just looking for a milder 1/2 day. The many class I and II rapids and steady current make for a fun afternoon on a classic Maine River. The trips are run daily with a noon check in. We provide you with inflatable Funyaks, helmet, life jackets, and shuttle. This is an unguided trip.
Dead River - Maine: The Dead River Summer Duckie releases offer the ultimate in inflatable kayaking. The Dead River is known for its continuous whitewater with many solid class III rapids throughout the day. Coming out of the western mountains and flowing into the Kennebec River the Dead River is Inflatable a beautiful wilderness river. Our guides will instruct you in the finer points of your inflatable Funyak, so you can maximize your paddling day. Combine this trip with one of our overnights for challenging wilderness river adventure.
Seboomic Ledges, Penobscot River - Maine: This is perhaps the most challenging and fun of all FunYak Trips. Be as adventurous as you want while paddling the class I-IV Seboomic Ledges section of the Penobscot River in an inflatable kayak. The trip is roughly five miles long and we paddle it twice. There are plenty of rapids to improve you paddling and surfing skills. One guide is provided for every seven people and an all-you-can-eat picnic lunch is also provided. This trip is available to groups of 8 people or more. Two-person Fun Yaks are also available upon special request.
Deerfield River Funyaks: Solo Adventure - Mass: A FunYak is a one or two man inflatable kayak. Come and enjoy the sport of river kayaking on the lower Deerfield River. We offer daily trips on this beautiful eight-mile section of river. Our guides will give you a pre-trip lesson before you head on down the river for a great day of paddling your own Fun Yak. We provide you a one or two person fun yak, paddle, life jacket and shuttle.
