The Kennebec River in Maine: The Kennebec River in Maine is the most popular whitewater rafting river in New England. Because of the nature of the river it is exciting yet very forgiving, making it a perfect trip for families to enjoy whitewater rafting in Maine. We offer several trip options, allowing the whole family to experience the Kennebec River together! The Kennebec Gorge offers fun big white water rafting for the kids 10 and older. Fours miles down river younger kids can join the trip at The Middle Kennebec River. This section has numerous fun class II- III whitewater rapids, swimming holes, side hikes. Minimum age on this section is 7.

Kennebec River Split Trip Option: For those families who have older and younger children, the Split Trip Option allows the whole family an opportunity to enjoy the Kennebec River. Everyone gets on the bus and goes to the launching point for the start of the Kennebec River trip. The older kids ages 10 and up paddle raft the class IV+ upper Kennebec Gorge with Mom or Dad. The children under the age of 10 and one of our professional staff shuttle to Middle River launch point (about 1/2 hour) and join the trip below the more difficult rapids of the Kennebec Gorge. The remaining 8 miles the entire family can enjoy exciting class III whitewater, classic Maine scenery, and a riverside steak and chicken barbecue. We top the day of back at Lake Moxie with a slide and video show of your trip . You might also try the row frame option below.

Kennebec River Maine Rowing Frame Trip: A Guided Row Frame raft allows you to experience the thrills of white water rafting the Kennebec Gorge while holding on and letting one of our expert guides row your family through the big waves and whitewater. The rowing frame option offers a safe and fun way for the whole family to enjoy the entire Kennebec River together. This a great Raft Maine trip for families with younger rafters ages 8-11.

Lower Kennebec River Rafting in Maine: The seven mile stretch of the Lower Kennebec River is a fun, relaxed river trip. With fun white water rapids and steady current this classic Maine rafting trip flows through the Kennebec River Valley. Leaving daily at 1:30. You can choose from a guided raft trip, or enjoy captaining your own raft. You can also enjoy this river trip in a funyak / inflatable kayak. These boats are fun and easy to paddle. Our resort provides all equipment including Funyaks or a raft, life jackets, paddles, and shuttles. Guides and snacks provided on guided trips.

Dead River Family Rafting Trip - Maine: The Dead River in Maine summer releases - In the summer the Dead River runs at medium levels. This makes it an ideal whitewater rafting trip for families and those looking to raft intermediate whitewater. Using rafts or inflatable Funyaks the Dead River rafting trip offers you plenty of fun class II- III+ whitewater. All trips are guided by reg. Maine Guides and include a picnic lunch. Deerfield River: This crystal clear river with it's fun Class II and III whitewater is a perfect river for rafters looking for an introduction to the sport of river rafting. Our guides and you will raft along through many Class I and II Whitewater rapids, engaging in water fights and enjoying a swim in the river. The highlight of this adventure is an exciting run through the Class III+ whitewater rapids of Zoar Gap! This trip includes guides, life jacket helmet, paddle shuttles and a picnic lunch. Minimum age is 7.

Deerfield River - Float Trip - Mass: Flowing through the Berkshires past rolling hills and farmlands, this section of river has beautiful scenery, and fun splashes of whitewater. A perfect afternoon of rafting in Massachusetts. Our guides will fill you up will tall tails of life on the Mohawk Trail. Enjoy some swimming and a light snack during your eight-mile river trip. Perfect for families and younger children looking to enjoy a classic river!

Deerfield River Massachusetts - Funyaks: Come and enjoy funyaking on the lower Deerfield River. A FunYak is a one or two man inflatable kayak. We offer daily trips on this beautiful eight-mile section of river. No experience necessary. Our guides will give you a pre-trip lesson before you head on down the river for a great day of paddling your own Fun Yak. We provide you a one or two person fun yak, paddle, life jacket and shuttle. check-in time 2:30.
