The protected dive sites are heavenly with the gigantic legendary "Pinnacles" looming from the bottom of the sea. These provide a home for hoards of horse-eye jacks, snappers, nurse and black tip sharks, turtles and schools of barracudas. We even encountered Manta Rays, Hammerhead Sharks and Eagle Rays. Giant barrel sponges and an incredible coral garden round off the picture, making each diving excursion an unforgettable experience. Hot springs and lava tunnels are reminders of Saba's volcanic history.
The water is warm with almost no currents and offers unusually good conditions for the Caribbean. Imagine 30 pristine dive sights all within 5-30 minutes of the harbor! Those who dive in these crystal clear waters will experience the unforgettable! The Saba Marine Park has been protected since 1987 and offers buoy-designated diving spots, 5 to 40 meters deep (15 to 120 feet), which reveal the true beauty of the Caribbean sea. There are many dive sites for beginners and advanced divers. From 15 ft to 130 ft. Saba offers an amazing variety of hard and soft corals, fish life and endless opportunities for underwater photographers. But the best is yet to come: almost everything is intact, the corals are not sick or damaged and the animals and fishes are not as shy as somewhere else. The Marine Park has a new office opposite our dive center and there you can get all kind of information about Saba's precious underwater world and slide show can be organized as well. For your safety, Saba Island has access to a "Dräger" decompression chamber located right beside our dive center at Fort Bay harbor, which is supervised by authorized and trained volunteers from the Saba Marine Park. For interested parties we can organize an information trip or get you in touch with the Rangers from the Saba Marine Park. Nevertheless our operation never had to make use of the chamber, it is just another safety feature, which Saba has to offer.
