Lake Fork of the Gunnison, Class IV:

This is an excellent early summer run-off trip. Similar to the All Day Taylor, but with more volume, rollicking rapids, and large holes. Full day paddle trip consisting of (2) 5 mile runs. Must be 12 years old. Experience necessary. Lunch and transportation included. Availability depends on water flows. An adventurous trip for the white water enthusiast.

Lower Gunnsion, Class I and II:

This float offers the beautiful scenery and wildlife of the Gunnison Valley. Sit back and relax while an experienced guide rows you down the river. It's the right combination of relaxing waves and exciting rapids for all ages to enjoy. A trip for the entire family. Approximately 2 hours on the water, oar trip. Entire trip is approximately 1/2 day. Must weigh 30 lbs. or more and be 12 years or less of age for the child rate.

Meeting Place and Time - Three Rivers Resort is easy to find. Take U.S.Highway 50 to Gunnison, Colorado - then take State Highway 135 North to Almont - turn right at Taylor Canyon Road (County Road 742) toward Taylor Reservoir. Three Rivers Resort is located immediately after crossing the Taylor River, 1/4 mile off State Highway 135.

From Aspen - (Summer only, good gravel road, spectacular views). Take State Highway 133 S. to Kebler Pass. Take Kebler Pass to Crested Butte. From Crested Butte take State Highway 135, 17 miles South to Almont. Take the only left turn in Almont. Three Rivers Resort is located immediately after crossing the Taylor River. 1/4 Mile off State Highway 135.

From Buena Vista - (Summer only, good gravel road, spectacular views). Take Cottenwood Pass out of downtown Buena Vista. Go over continental divide into Taylor Park. Follow signs and paved road toward Gunnison. Drive below Taylor Dam, through Taylor Canyon to Three Rivers Resort in Almont.

Lake Fork - $100.00 (adults), children: 12 years + up;
Lower Gunnison - $25.00 (adults), $20.00 (children).
