Mouflon (Ovis Mussimon)
The Mouflon is a wild sheep native to southern Europe. Mouflon were introduced to Central Europe in the 1900's where they successfully adapted and established themselves.
The Czech Republic has the largest Mouflon in Europe with 12 of of the largest recorded Mouflon being recorded here.
The Ram is 75cm tall and the Ewe 60cm tall. They have very robust bodies with very strong, long legs. The Rams weigh around 40Kg and the Ewes 40Kg.
Mouflon wool is dark brown with large white spots. Only the Rams and sometimes older Ewes have horns.
The rutting season is from October to December.
The Kids, usually single, are born in March and April of the following year.

Hunting Mouflon is open from the 1st of August to the 31st of December.
Mouflon Hunting in game preserves is permitted all year round.
