For those who want to unwind, sit back and relax, we’ll do the sailing for you! We can arrange a day out or holiday afloat to suit any budget. Be it a fully catered holiday on one of our luxury charter yachts or a fun days ‘racing around the cans’ we can arrange a sailing adventure that can be as strenuous or relaxing as you want it to be. Our fully qualified, friendly skippers know the Moreton Bay area better than most and will make your time afloat with us as enjoyable as possible.
From the white sands and turquoise water of Moreton Island the bay stretches south for 60 miles to the Gold Coast Broadwater - a sailing paradise that offers a unique diversification of surroundings and sailing conditions.
At the northern end of our cruising grounds the Bay is some 20 miles wide with the magnificent anchorages of Moreton Island on the eastern side (including the famous Tangalooma Wrecks) and the Marinas of Redcliffe and Sandgate on the mainland side. South of this the bay starts to narrow as you pass the entrance to the majestic Brisbane River - only 15 miles upstream you can moor in a marina in the heart of the city. South of the river mouth lie the historic islands of St Helena, Green, Stradbroke and Peel which offer good anchorages and fishing. For those seeking calmer waters this is the start of the most protected part of the bay. With a labyrinth of islands between here and the Broadwater there is all round shelter and great fishing for over 20 miles. This tranquil waterway leads to the marinas and anchorages of the Gold Coast with all it has to offer.
The bay is alive with bird and marine life; dolphins and dugong are seen regularly and the odd whale breaching at the northern end! Your Moreton Bay sailing holiday can be as adventurous or relaxing as you chose to make it. This is one of the world’s most unspoilt cruising grounds – come and see for yourself!
Our base is Manly Yacht Harbour, ideally located in the centre of the bay, with a range of destinations only a short sail away. We hope you enjoy unspoilt Moreton Bay soon, but don’t tell your friends - let’s keep it a secret!
All our yachts are in QLD Transith every thing you could require to make your holiday special inclport survey and are comfortably and comprehensively equipped wuding sun awnings, refrigeration and dinghies with outboard’s. All you need to bring is bedding and supplies (or we can arrange for these to be on board when you arrive).
Our area of operation is the partially smooth water limits of Moreton Bay covering over 200 square miles of protected waters and beautiful islands stretching from Tangalooma to the Gold Coast (see overleaf for more details). Charters depart and return from our Base at Manly Boat Harbour. The harbour is ideally suited boasting a large selection of restaurants, yacht clubs, a pub and shops all within easy walking distance in Manly Village and many beautiful anchorages less than 2 hours sailing time away. Manly is located only 25 minutes drive from the Brisbane CBD and 20 minutes from the domestic and international airports.
