Our company is an owner operated off shore sports fishing company celebrating over 36 years in business on the Gold Coast. Wahoo not Yahoo is the species of fish in line with the marlin, sailfish. This predator is the part of the infamous razor gang. The fastest and probably pound for pound amongst the most sought after game fish in many countries fortunate to have these fish swimming in their waters. The eating quality is fantastic - firm white flesh (grilled, poached, bbq’d). Having targeted this fish for the best part of Don’s life he decided to name the company “Wahoo” out of respect for this great tackle buster.
Don’s background in this business goes back to the early 60’s fishing the fledgling game fishing tournaments mixing with the “Mr Fishing” at the time and Don cultivated not only the love of the sport but also mixing with the people who shared the common enjoyment of it so it wasn't’t unrealistic that he finished up being involved in something he truly enjoyed. We have two seasons for fishing:
October to May:
Black marlin, sailfish, dolphin fish (mahi mahi), wahoo, spanish mackeral, yellow/stripe and mack tuna plus all reef species.
June to May:
All general reef fish including snapper, pearl perch, amberjack, sampson, yellowtail kingfish, cobia, king snapper, rosy jobfish, cod, venus tusk fish, parrot fish, trevalli, mowong, flathead....the list goes on... Many visitors during our beautiful winter months will witness the humpback whales annual migration to our waters. These magnificent fish are at their most spectacular when in breaching mode lifting their enormous body from the depths breaking the surface with tremendous flukes waving almost as if they are inviting us to follow them...

The price depends on the boat that you choose and of the duration of teh trip: half day or full day.
