The Open Water Course is the first level of PADI Diver with buddy. This course can be provided in your own language by a professional PADI Instructor. You will have the opportunity to receive a substantial diving teaching and to discover the wonderful underwater world of the Red Sea.
Program of the course:
- 5 sessions of theory
- 5 dives in confined water area
- 4 dives in open water
The theoretical part of the course, gives you the essential knowledge needed to become a buddy diver at a maximum depth of 18 meters. With the Open Water manual, the Open Water Video and the teaching of your instructor, you will learn the Diving equipment, underwater signs of communication, marine environment, buddy system, dive tables, etc.
Knowledge reviews and quizzes will precede the final exam helping you to perfect your theoretical skills. With the PADI Open Water Course, you will be able to enjoy diving safely.
With the skills that you will practice during the 5 dives in a confined water area, you will get the ease essential for diving in open water. By a good control of your buoyancy, you will discover the underwater world easily and safely for yourself and the aquatic life. These dives can be done in a pool or the sea.
Then ready for the open water, you have still 4 dives to do. At the beginning of three of them, you will have to repeat some skills already done in confined water. You will discover marvelous dive sites and their marine life as Lighthouse, Eel Garden, Islands, and Coral Garden or in South Dahab dive sites.
During the course, you will use safe and adapted scuba equipment. For your safety, your instructor will have always a first aid and oxygen kitsat the dive site. At the end of the course, you will receive a PADI Open Water certification card. By this license, you will be a qualified diver recognized everywhere in the world.
