Fishing forecast:
Bass - Tired of finishing "out of the money" on Cedar Bluff Reservoir? Still an awesome bass lake, but not as easy for most guys to catch a good bag of fish. The "community" bass spots don't hold fish like they used to. My spots still do! Learn the how's, when is sand (most importantly) the where's to Carolina rig on Cedar Bluff. I have 37 proven Carolina rig spots ranging in depth from 8 to 45 feet!
Wiper - Massive stockings of wiper have lead to an awesome number of 5-8 pound fish. Also, a good number of wipers in the 12-18 pound range. Wipers are easy to catch but can be hard to find.I know where they live!
Walleye - Cedar Bluff's walleye fishing is the best kept secret in the midwest! Big numbers of 18-22 inch with 4-6 pound fish are very common. It just so happens that my secret road beds that bass love are also covered up with big eyes!
Hunting Forecast:
Ducks - Early season hunts on the lake are a blast; but after thanksgiving, private land hunts on the Smoky Hill River are as good as standing timber mallard hunts can get. We shoot greenheads only and five bird limits are the norm. I am the only guide with access to the Smoky Hill behind Cedar Bluff Dam!
Geese - Mainly big canadas. We will hunt private land only, mostly green wheat and milo stubble fields. I scout daily and only hunt mornings exactly where birds were feeding the night before. I have exclusive hunting rights on the premier crop fields bordering the lake!
Pheasant & Quail - 9,000 acres of private land surrounded by 10,000 acres of public wildlife area guarantees a top-notch wild bird hunt! Hunt over two top of the line labs or bring your own dogs.
Deer - Mule deer and white tail with world class guiding. I am the only guide for Cedar Bluff Lodge. We provide 5 and 7 day packages!
Trapline - A rare opportunity to join me on a 25 mile trap line! I target mainly bobcat, coyote and racoon. I have given many cage trap demonstrations and catch about 50 coon and 20 cats per year in cage traps. My techniques are unconvential but are guaranteed to put more cats on your stretcher!
Notes:
Touring: 4 Hour Trip - $50.00/person (min. 4 people).
Prices are $150 for the first customer and $50 per additional customer. Based on 1/2 day trip of either 7:00am-noon or 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
