Madagascar, (Republic of Madagascar), is an island nation in the Indian Ocean, off the eastern coast of Africa, close to Mozambique. The main island, also called Madagascar, is the fourth largest island in the world. It is home to five percent of the world's plant and animal species, more than 80 percent of them endemic to Madagascar. Most notable are the lemur infraorder of primates, the carnivorous fossa, three endemic bird families and six endemic baobab species.
Standing apart from Africa, this giant island looks just like a continent. It offers an exceptional diversity of relief, climate, fauna and flora, still protected and whole. Nosy Be: the highlight of the Indian Ocean

Nosy be: the "Island of perfumes"
Very famous for its perfumes, Nosy Be was nicknamed the "perfume island" because of the numerous crops of ilang - ilang, coffee, pepper, sugar cane, growing everywhere, whose scents hang heavy in the air. You will soon be under the island's spells!!!
The Mitsios - Situated at the north of Nosy Be, this archipelago displays a singular beauty with warm, crystal-clear turquoise waters. You will encounter there deserted anchorages, isolated villages. This archipelago is heaven on earth for tropical fish lovers. It is also very famous for its rocky peaks (also called sugar loafs mountains): "the 4 brothers".
The Radames - This archipelago is mainly composed of coral islands and virgin islets. A picture of Eden's gardens; just like the Mitsios, the terrestrial and underwater landscapes of this little paradise will fascinate you. You will also discover, a few miles from Nosy Be, the turtle island of Nosy Iranja with its beautiful beaches and Nosy Komba where lemurs can be found.
