Short travel time (3-hours DC to GCI!); you can arrive on Friday and leave as early as Sunday; or stay as long as you wish. Maximum comfort, with water visibility of the highest in the Caribbean at 200 ft - 300 ft so you can see your buddies and your boat at all times during your dive. Water temperature hits a low of only 83° to a high of 89°, which means no confining wetsuits!
No dangerous marine animals, sharks, sea snakes, man-o-wars or Titan Triggerfish to deal with. The toughest part of diving in GCI is fanning away the friendly fish that love to ham it up for your underwater camera. Over 250 world-famous dive sites provide perfect diving conditions on all 4-sides of the island. Master Instructor Mike Parker has even discovered one particularly pristine site which the locals dedicated to him, naming it 'Mike Parker's Ledge'. World's highest safety standards are proudly practiced by the Cayman Island's dive operations, with qualified staff assisting all dives and attention to superior customer service given at all times. Environmental preservation is Grand Cayman Island's number one priority and strongly enforced, enabling the entire oceanic region around the island to be classified as a protected marine park. Large, fast dive boats with small groups of friendly people. We use the island's friendliest dive operation, rated top three in the Caribbean and top-10 in the world, and we're usually given a dedicated boat exclusively for our use. Dive Instructors, Dive Masters and dive guides assist on every dive to ensure student comfort and safety. And, of course, don't miss the year's biggest dive party - Grand Cayman's October Carnival celebrates Pirate's Week! Course orientations last about 1 ½ hours and give you important information about classes and monthly dive trips, as well as the opportunity to get personalized answers to your questions. At the orientation, students decide on which weeknights classes will be held. A special mini-clinic on personal scuba & snorkeling gear selection is also presented that will not be offered during regular class meetings. Attendance is not required, but is highly recommended. Friends & family are welcome! Several orientations are offered each month.
