Our Company offers a complete range of PADI Scuba Diving Courses. We teach through the PADI organization, which is the largest organization in the world for recreational divers. This means each student will have access to the latest education material and the best diving instructors in the world. We have well equipped dive shops for retail and top of the line rental scuba gear.
* PADI Discover Scuba Diving
The course is available on land at our dive school, and is not available on our liveaboards. It is great for the individual who wants to try the experience of scuba diving, or maybe they don't have enough time to complete a course.
Duration: This only takes half day if from the beach-total of one dive, or a full day if you join us for a boat trip, includes two dives.
* PADI Open Water Diver
This is a beginner’s course and is available on land at our dive school and is not available on our liveaboard Colona VI. PADI Open Water divers are certified to dive to a depth of 18 meters with a buddy.
Duration - 4 days as explained below.
Day 1 & 2: Theory & diving in the pool.
Day 3: 2 dives with our dive boat.
Day 4: 2 dives with our dive boat.
* PADI Advanced Open Water Course
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course has something for everyone and is availale on our liveaboard Colona VI and on land. This exciting course includes a total of 5 adventure dives. You must however complete two core mandatory dives, Deep and Navigation to qualify for the course. There is no exam which makes it an excellent relaxing choice for liveaboard's.
The total five dives:
1. Two Core Dives - Deep Dive (max.30 meters) and Underwater Navigation.
2. Choose three Elective Dives from the list below (in consultation with your instructor):
- AWARE Fish Identification
- Boat Dive
- Drift Dive
- Multi-level and Computer Dive
- Night Dive
- Peak Performance Buoyancy
- Search and Recovery
- Underwater Naturalist
- Nitrox Enriched Air
* PADI Rescue Diver
PADI Rescue Diver course is full of rewarding and. This course will expand your knowledge and experience level: Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies.
This course takes only 3 days to complete and will include five open water training sessions, during which you'll cover:
- Self-rescue and diver stress
- AED and emergency oxygen delivery systems
- Dive first aid
- Swimming and non-swimming rescue techniques
- Emergency management and equipment
- Panicked diver response
- Underwater problems
- Missing diver procedures
- Surfacing the unconscious diver
- In-water rescue breathing protocols
- Egress (exits)
- First aid procedures for pressure related accidents
- Dive accident scenarios
* PADI Divemaster
The PADI Divemaster training takes normally 3 weeks. It is the first step in the PADI system of diver education to become a professional.
Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you'll expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills as you become a dive professional. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities by training you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.
Duration: The course takes a minimum of 3 weeks to complete. After the 3 weeks you will be able to assist the Instructor in teaching students and lead a group of divers under water.
Scuba diving day trips and PADI scuba diving courses are available all year round. The monsoon so called time of the year is between June to early October were you may experience a little rain. However this can have its advantages with fewer divers in the water and cheaper accommodation prices.
