Have you ever dreamed of skiing off the groomed slopes? Have you ever gazed at the snow covered slopes of Mt. Washington and wished you could ski the untouched snow? This is the perfect preparation for more adventurous undertakings in the major mountain ranges of the world, such as the Haute Route in Europe.
This winter and spring join us for our adventure-filled ski mountaineering courses and guided day trips. Contact us for dates because current ground conditions are everything. Our ski mountaineering programs typically run from late March to middle May.
Our guides Brad White, Kevin Mahoney, Ian Cruickshank, Eric Siefer,
Steve Dupuis and Zeb Jakub are all very experienced backcountry skiers with many years of combined experience on the slopes of Mt. Washington and the Presidential Range. Whether you want alpine, randonee, telemark or snowboard vertical fun these guys can handle the assignment.
This trip is for advanced/expert skiers with no previous mountaineering experience. We will cover basic mountaineering skills including the use of ice axe, crampon technique, avalanche awareness and roped-descent techniques. We will finish with a ski descent of Mt. Washington.
