Divers Down is the most popular diving centre on the East Coast and offers a friendly club-like atmosphere. We can be found on and under the water 7 days a week, all year around. Divers from Dubai come and join us every opportunity they can escape from work, whilst schools (and other dive schools) come to train their students with us.
Full range of PADI courses, from Beginner to Professional.
Divers Down operates a first class service for its customers and it has managed to do this with a professional and friendly approach, our divers keep coming back to us and that is all we want, what better recommendation could we ask for.
The UAE Eastcoast has the most beautiful divesites of the country. The marine life is more tropical than the Westcoast. It is influenced by the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean. Most of those divesites are close to Khor Fakkan.
Dibba Island
At Dibba Island you are guaranteed to see a wide variety of fish on this dive and you will most likely encounter turtles. Clownfish and Jaw fish are also common features of this dive site. Dibba Island is a popular site used for night dives, well worth checking out. Also very popular with snorkellers.
Inchcape I
This artificial reef was a steel vessel called Gray Swift 2. She was sunk in December 2001. So not much hard coral. Lots of nudibranches though and Inchcape I is also the home of Fred, a giant Morey.
Snoopy Island
This island looks like Snoopy lying on his back with his nose in the air, hence the name. Its shallow waters make it a perfect snorkeling site. Morays, clownfish, lionfish, turtles, black tip reef sharks can be spotted here.
Sharm Rocks
Sharm Rocks is located further north up the coast not far from Snoopy Island. There are 4 outcrops of rock that are just above sea level and are covered in masses of soft coral. The rocks are full of shoals of fish such as fusiliers and mackerel. You may even get to see some turtles and squid on this site. There are lots of shallow areas on this site, which makes it another good site that can be shared by divers and snorkellers.
Car Cemetery
Created as an artificial reef in 1988, it serves fishermen as well as scuba divers. There are about 200 objects at a depth of 17 meters. Marine life consists of Shrimps, Clingfish, Manta Rays and Honeycomb Morays. The site has, unfortunately, a low visibility.
Anemone Gardens
Close to Shark Island, Anemone Gardens is made up of different coral reefs. The sites are on a depth of 18-24 meters. The site is excelent for night dives. It is common to see Jacks and Sea Horses.
Shark Island / Shark Drift / Shark Bay
Located at the South East of the Khor Fakkan bay, Shark Island hosts a number of dive sites. Shark Drift is one of the best. At the south point of the island Black Tipped Reef Sharks can be seen in shallow water. But also Puffer fish and Bat fish are common here.
Coral Gardens
This deep dive is only a 10 minute boat drive from our centre and offers a great dive. The dive takes you through a forest of Black Coral (Green in color) and rock formations that hide large Morays and Lion Fish. Guitar sharks are to be found hiding in the sand, and turtles hide amongst the coral. Large sea horses are also seen here - the size of them is always a surprise to divers.
Inchcape 2
Inchcape 2 was sunk by Inchcape shipping after Divers Down convinced them to donate a second wreck to the sea. Just off the wreck in the sand you will see Jaw Fish in their holes and large Cow Tail Rays, Barracuda hover around the wreck. The tyres around the wreck offer homes to Green Moray Eels and Ring Banded Shrimp as well as Scorpion Fish.
Martini Rock
Martini Rock is a classic multi level dive. The site is located in Martini Bay and is a large rock structure that is cut into three pinnacles. Marine life is prolific and it is renowned for the Green Turtles that stay there all year round. The top of the rock is covered in Teddy Bear Coral and this is a perfect place to do your safety stop.
Ras Qidfa
Ras Qidfa is located south of Martini Rock. Jacks, fusiliers, crayfish and turtles are common on this dive site. This is a popular site for both divers and snorkellers, and a popular night dive site for many divers.
