Hello,
Let me introduce myself, my name is Iulian Cozma. I was born 1975 in Fagaras City, at the foot of the Fagaras Mountains, Transylvanian Alps. I spent my childhood years with my grandparents in Ucea de Sus, set at the foot of the Fagaras Mountains. I am a professional engineer and in 1999 I graduated the Electrotechnics Faculty of Brasov. Since 1996 I have been a member of the Romanian Mountain Guides Association, and since 1999 a member of the Mountaineering and Climbing Federation. In autumn 1997 I began, together with my colleagues from RMGA, a course for Professional Mountain Guides and I graduated in 1998.
So we have become the first "class" of Romanian Mountain Guides, who are accredited by all the qualified organisations. At present I am general secretary of RMGA. I have combed the mountains since childhood. My father, a lover of the mountains, used to take me with him as often as possible. I became familiar with real mountain trips and real mountaineering during my first university years, when I became a member of CPNT Brasov. During that same period, I acted for a while for the mountaineering department of CSU Brasov. Every year since 1996, together with my colleagues from RMGA, I made numerous trekking and mountaineering trips in the Fagaras, Bucegi, Piatra Craiului and other mountains of Romania. I have made the most important mountain tours during the winter, some of them being the Northern Fagaras ridges, Buteanu, Albota, Vistea, Zanoaga and the famous ridge Virtopel-Arpasel.
I have been skier since 1988. Up to 1995 I took part to the ski competitions for the Meridional Carpathians Cup, which was organized in the Bucegi, Piatra Craiului and Fagaras Mountains.
Notes:
All visitors are provided with: transfer from/to Otopeni International Airport, accommodation in hotels, private pensions and chalets, three meals a day. Each participant must carry the minimum equipment: good mountain shoes, backpack, sleeping bag, rain and warm clothes. In bad weather, above 2000 meters, snow is often possible.
