Our hunting is highly controlled, with limited numbers of permits available for each big game species in order to at least maintain existing population levels. Overall success rates at our lodges for the past ten years have been over 80% for moose and virtually 100% for woodland caribou.
In order to better ensure high rates of hunter success, as well as maintain a more relaxed and personal atmosphere in camp, we have a policy to keep hunting parties small in size, usually at four or less. Non-hunting companions are also welcome at reduced rates and with our very comfortable modern facilities, we are attracting more and more couples each year, some being hunters and some not. Unless specially arranged, ours is a one on one guide hunter ratio. We pride ourselves on having a knowledgeable, hard working and co-operative staff of guides and cooks, which includes both business owners, who are active guides. As a result, in most cases, the individuals with whom you negotiated your hunt are right there in the lodge with you, and in many cases, directly involved with your hunt in the field. Your hunting experience is our also our experience. You can take it for granted then that the cook will be a good one.
