Discover Scuba:
This experience is perfect for those of you that want to feel weightlessness that scuba offers in the safety of the swimming pool. You will be taught in the classroom about safety and comfort, how scuba works and you then get to have fun in the pool. The Instructor will play games with you like the underwater Frisbee or egg and spoon races.
Discover Scuba Diving:
After your pool session we take you out on the dive boat and continue your adventure. With your instructor you will get to plunge under the waves and into a new world, When you get back to the centre you will receive a card that allows you to dive with a certified assistant for up to 1 year to max depth of 12m. The whole experience lasts for 3-4 hours.
Open Water Diver:
This is the first PADI course that allows you to receive a license opening up the world's oceans to you. You will complete 5 class, 5 pool and 4 sea dives with a simple swim test and final exam. The whole course can be completed in 3-4 days, or if you prefer you can spread it over the length of your holiday. You need to be at least 10 years old and reasonably fit and healthy to undertake this course. We will provide all the materials you need to complete the course and all you need to bring is yourself, a towel and a swimsuit.
Advanced Open Water:
Get more adventurous; try something new or even do it just because its fun, this course is ideal if you're on a short holiday break. You will complete 5 dives all from the boat, 2 compulsory modules -deep and navigation - and 3 further elective dives. Choose from our wide range of specialties covering everything from photography to wreck diving. As long as you are over 12 years old this is all you need to do to become an advanced diver.
Rescue Diver:
Why stop at advanced diver, when you can learn how to be a rescue diver. Be someone that other divers will come to depend on if the need arises. This course runs side by side with the Emergency First Responder course and is all about rescue and preventing rescues from happening in the first place. It is fun, challenging yet it is rewarding for both the student and the instructor. It takes 3-4 days to complete, and you should be reasonably fit to undertake this course.
Dive Master:
Welcome to the world of being a PADI Professional diver. Divers Down is a sought after dive centre to complete your Dive Master. We have real students and customers, years of experience to pass on and all the Instructors are very proud of their students. We will shape you into the best Dive Master out there and give you that head start over the others.
Assistant Instructor:
This course is the final step before becoming an Instructor. It is normally taken before the IDC and will make you more attractive to Dive Centers when seeking a job. Get in touch for further info and course dates.
Specialty Courses:
Specialty courses are there for those of you that want to experience other aspects of diving, or those of you that want to become Master Scuba Divers, the highest non-professional level (the black belt of diving). Divers Down and its instructors offer up to 18 specialties ranging from the awesome Night Diving to the educational Naturalist, and if you want to explore the underwater world for longer get more bottom time with Nitrox. Most specialty course takes up to 2 days to complete, and the minimum age varies. They are all fun to do and you will receive a license for each one you complete. After you complete five specialties and you are a Rescue Diver with a current first aid certificate you can become a PADI Master Scuba Diver.
