Since 1985, Lakeview Plantation has evolved into one of the most intensively managed hunting properties in the Southeast with a broad based habitat management program and an unlimited supplemental feeding program designed to enhance all types of wildlife. The owners, Hayward and Dona Simmons, also strictly limit hunting activity to not more than ten hunters at the Cedar Knoll Hunting Lodge with appropriate "rest periods" scheduled between hunts in order to allow the animals to return to their normal routine between hunts.
In addition to providing a quality outdoor experience, this approach facilitates the high harvest success rates and a resulting high level of hunter satisfaction.
