These packs are designed for divers who have a minimum of Padi Advanced Open water, CMAS 2 Star, or equivalent rating with enough diving experience to dive independently of Moby Dives Instructors. The cost of the packs includes: weights and belt, one cylinder per person with unlimited airfills.
Divers who want to dive unaccompanied MUST have a diving permit (C-Card) issued by Moby Dives.
To obtain this, proof of qualification (minimum level, 2 Star, Advanced Diver or equivalent rating), and a passport size photo are required. Due to new regulations a medical is no longer required but the diver will have to sign a Medical self-declaration form.
The small fee to be paid for producing the C- Card is not included in the unaccompanied dive pack prices.
Groups planning on doing unaccompanied diving either for fun or for training purposes, where there are divers who do not meet the necessary qualification requirements MUST have an Instructor leading their dives. For an Instructors C-card, proof of Instructor qualification and a current Doctors medical is required. Also due to the new regulations the instructor’s medical can either be conducted in Gozo/ Malta by the local diving physician or brought by the Instructor from his own physician.
