Climb like a girl is a series of one day outdoor climbing clinics for women. The vision of these clinics is not to create a separate climbing community but to target the strengths and unique ability of female climbers.
These incredible clinics are lead by Carolyn Parker.
Carolyn Parker co-owner of Suntoucher Mountain Guides has over a decade of guiding and fifteen years of climbing experience. Early years of life brought her opportunities to adventure through the wilderness from her own backyard, on her own, to become a skier, a climber, a mountain lover, run rivers, hike through remote regions, and develop an understanding for what truly matters. She has created Women's Mountain Biking Clinics, Telemark Ski Clinics, owned a climbing shoe resoling company, and now a guide service. She has climbed full-time for more than a decade, run ultra-marathons, raced mountain bikes, and designed and created climbing clothing & chalk bags with a flare. Working as a guide for the last ten years she has traveled from the Canadian Rockies, to the big walls of Yosemite and Utah 's desert towers, from the Andes to the Himalaya and the Alps.
All clinics will be a full day of approximately 8 – 9 hours including drive time. Cost of “CLAG” clinics is $125 per participant, per day. There will be a minimum of three participants and a maximum of six. All climbing equipment will be included unless participant has their own harness, shoes, chalk bag and belay device which they are welcome to use. No experience is necessary. These clinics are designed to be taught as a progression to develop the skills to be able to climb outside safely on your own. Individuals can sign up for any clinic if you choose to participate in all three your skills will be the most advanced at the end of the summer!
