The Dive Adventures Open Water program is an entry-level certification course in scuba diving. This exciting program includes a minimum of 12 hours of academic study in the areas of diving physics, physiology, medicine, environment and dive safety. In addition to the classroom, which is conveniently located only a moments' walk from the beach, a minimum of 12 training hours, in confined water, and 5 open water dives are required with emphasis placed on physical fitness, diving hazards, personal limitations and the behaviour needed to function as a diver. This can be accomplished over a period of 4 days, in an intensive, private program, which includes 2 theory lessons and 2 dives daily.
Open Water graduates will be competent in basic Open Water diving activities, and will receive a certification card, honoured throughout the diving world. We are proud of our extensive experience in Scuba Diver training to all levels. Our instructors are certified by the world's largest certification agencies, such as NAUI, CMAS, YMCA and (upon availability) PADI. Who should take the Open Water Scuba Diving program? People who are comfortable in the water and wish to pursue diving as a recreation or potential career. The Open Water certification is the heart of every diving program and your key to the diving world, wherever you go for holiday. Minimum age: 12 years old (junior open water designation).
