PADI, the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, offers a vast array of recreational SCUBA diving courses and programs. PADI provides a full range of educational materials, training aids, promotional pieces and recognition materials to conduct PADI programs. When students successfully complete PADI courses, they receive positive identification certification cards that identify them as PADI Divers.
The PADI System of diver education is based on state of the art instructional system design theory, and progressive training that introduces skills, safety related information and local environmental knowledge to students in stages. PADI courses are student-centered and provide for maximum practice and application. Students learn the basics through independent study and then are guided through additional development by their instructors. The goal is to get students in the water as soon as possible and provide them with the instruction necessary to gain confidence in their diving abilities.
PADI's entry-level scuba certification is Open Water Diver. Once certified, divers can continue their education by becoming Advanced Open Water, Specialty and Rescue Divers. Further training, such as the Divemaster and Assistant Instructor courses, allow interested divers to become dive leaders. Divers looking for scuba diving careers most often choose to become PADI Instructors.

Diving Sites
Bali, "The Island of the Gods", is certainly a divine place to get your gear on and go for a dive. The diversity of marine life and sites is exceptional. One day can be filled with the magnificent Oceanic Sunfish around the waters of Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida, whilst the next you can be searching for pigmy seahorses in the north of Bali. The diversity of soft and hard corals in Bali, and Indonesia, is unmatched anywhere else in the world.
Pristine coral reefs cover the slopes of the current swept Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida, whilst spectacular wall diving is available in Menjangan. "Muck" diving also offers a chance to see some rare and mysterious creatures in a number of sites around Bali such as Secret Bay, PJ and Seraya Secrets. The famous "USS Liberty" wreck in Tulamben is one of Bali's most popular dive locations, and it is easy to see why.
