Kawanda is located in Tete province, north from the Cahora Bassa lake, and it is an excellent area for hippo and crocodile hunts, but it offers also great possibilities for hunting buffalo, kudu, impala, bushpig and other smaller species. In this area there is the possibility to hunt very good leopard, but the number of licenses is very limited, only two annually.
