Magnificent mountains, wildlife and a temperamental weather, what else are you looking for in sea kayaking? Skye has much to offer for sea kayaking and due to its size and location it doesn’t matter where the wind is coming from, there is always an area where you can enjoy a good paddle. Just as an example you could paddle from Elgol to Camasunary and Loch Coruisk, camp on Soay. On the second day explore the Skye coast line south of the magnificent Black Cuillins. After a circumnavigation of Soay paddle back to Elgol. On this kind of sea kayaking trip it is guaranteed to see many seals and other sea wildlife.

Your Itinerary:

Day 1: Book into the B&B in Inverness enjoy the beautiful city. This is an ideal opportunity to meet other trip members. We will also meet you at the B&B, go through the required kit and start packing.

Day 2: Drive to Skye (exact location depends on the weather), load the kayaks and paddle somewhere along the Skye coast. There is much to discover and any area in Skye will be remembered. Find a remote place or an island to wild camp, pitch the tents and cook dinner.

Day 3: After an early-ish breakfast paddle for another 15-25 km and finish off sometime between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Again, find a remote place or an island to wild camp, pitch the tents and cook dinner.
