The new trekking routes put up in 2003 help mark the paths. The formations in the rock, the changes in color and texture are all visible when you look at the different layers and understand how they have been distorted and changed with pressure and heat. Trekking is not just about exercise, its about exploring. The Faults, gorges and cliffs of Oman lend themselves to some spectacular days outdoors.
