Our lodge sits on the banks of the Deshka River. The Deshka is a clear water river who's headwaters form in the foothills of the Alaskan Range near Denali National Park. The Deshka is known for its great runs of Kings (Chinook) and Silver (Coho) Salmon plus large runs of Pink Salmon (Humpies) on even years. There is a strong population of Rainbow Trout plus opportunities to fish for Pike and Grayling. Fishing packages includes an experienced friendly guide who will take you out in our jet boat for a full day of fishing on the river. Our jet boat gives our guests access to miles of remote river with plenty of cut banks, gravel bars and deep pools. We provide all the gear you will need on the river for spin casting, including hip boots/waders, rods, reels and all the lures and/or bait. Lunch is prepared for you out on the river while you fish. An average day of fishing is about eight hours and if that isn't enough to tire you out then one of the best fishing holes on the river is right out front of the lodge. After dinner you could head back out and fish right in front of the lodge if your arms aren't too tired. Don't worry about it getting dark either, because you will be in the land of the midnight sun.
