During your trekking expedition you will discover untouched nature, hike past pristine alpine lakes and camp in some of the most spectacular and remote wilderness areas. While in the backcountry, you and your guide have the opportunity to observe abundant wildlife including grizzly bears, mountain goats, moose, bighorn sheep and wolves. We offer 4 different guided expeditions, listed in order of difficulty from moderate to hard. - Spruce Lake (6 days, 5 nights): The Spruce Lake Expedition takes you through the beautiful Southern Chilcotin Mountains of British Columbia which are home to an incredible variety of landscapes, geology, flora and fauna. The forests, low elevation aspen meadows, glaciers, alpine lakes and meadows, numerous ridges and lofty peaks of this area are home to a profusion of animals including wolf, moose, mountain goat, bighorn sheep, black and grizzly bear. The wildflower display here is amongst the best in British Columbia. A good level of physical fitness is required for this expedition in order to sustain several hours a day of continuous strenuous physical activity, as well as sudden elevation gains, while carrying a heavy backpack. Previous backpacking experience is recommended Price and dates: - $950 (+ tax)/person - Maximum 6 participants. Stein Valley (7 days, 6 nights): The Stein Valley Expedition will take you along the Stein River from the dry terrain typical of the Fraser Canyon to some cool, lush old growth forests containing Indian Pictographs. From there you head up into the high alpine, along ridges, past numerous turquoise lakes with incredible views of the surrounding glacier-clad Coast Mountains. This is a remote wilderness area and is considered to be the last remaining untouched watershed in Southwestern British Columbia. A good level of physical fitness is required for this expedition in order to sustain several hours a day of continuous strenuous physical activity, as well as frequent extreme and sudden elevation gains, while carrying a heavy backpack. Note: Previous backpacking experience is recommended. Price and dates: - $ 1050 (+ tax)/person - Max 6 participants Cathedral Provincial Park (7 days, 6 nights): Cathedral Provincial Park in southern British Columbia comprises an expanse of jagged mountain peaks, azure lakes and flower-dappled alpine meadows that is definitely for the adventurous. This expedition will take you past numerous alpine lakes, to mountain peaks with incredible views of the surrounding wilderness area. A good level of physical fitness is required for this expedition in order to sustain several hours a day of continuous strenuous physical activity, as well as frequent extreme and sudden elevation gains, while carrying a heavy backpack. Note: Previous backpacking experience is recommended. Price and dates: - $1050 (+ tax)/person - Maximum 6 participants Big Creek (8 days, 7 nights): This expedition takes you through a remote wilderness area of Big Creek and Spruce Lake Provincial Parks in the Southern Chilcotin Mountains of British Columbia. Nearly half the time is spent above treeline with incredible views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. An excellent level of physical fitness is required for this expedition in order to sustain several hours a day of continuous strenuous physical activity, as well as frequent extreme and sudden elevation gains, while carrying a heavy backpack. Note: Previous backpacking experience is absolutely required.
