Schefferville

Caribou hunting with this outfitter, you are non-restricted to a specific camp location. They monitor the migration each year and subsequently setup camp where there is the best chance for hunter success. This strategy has worked well partly because they own and operate their own fleet of aircraft, Cessna 185 and DeHavilland Beavers and Otters. They believe that the hunters are given ultimate advantage in harvesting the trophy caribou of thier choice.

Migratory Hunt

Hunt the migratory George River caribou herd. Over the years they've had excellent success with the migratory caribou hunt. The reason for this success is that they monitor the caribou herd on a daily basis. Their own aircraft follows the herd and reports the migrating trend and movements each day. Also, they are the "ONLY" hunting outfitter licensed in both Quebec and Labrador. This provides the hunter with the flexibility to hunt caribou in either province and allows them to follow the caribou herd on both sides of the border. This herd is estimated to be about 750,000 strong and you will be hunting caribou a 150 mile radius from Schefferville, Quebec.

Your caribou hunting trip starts in Montreal, to the village of Schefferville. Includes roundtrip transportation, license, meals, accommodations and guide. The trip is one week long and the season runs August 10 to end of September.

Labrador Caribou Hunting #1

The caribou you will be hunting here belong to the largest herd of barrenground caribou in the world. Based on caribou migrations pattern over the past 10 years, this outfitter strategically positions his camps to intercept the late summer and early fall migrations. Standard wood framed, canvas covered camps on plywood platforms are utilized on the remote trophy hunts. Hunts in the road accessible Schefferville area are also offered. Caribou hunting carries a high success rate and both of these locations continue to produce trophy caribou antlers.
