This outfitter is located in the heart of the Kootenay Region of south eastern British Columbia. A significant portion of the exclusive 600 square mile guide territory (approximately 1/3) is located in the Purcell Wilderness Conservancy. The Conservancy boasts true pristine wilderness, restricted by the BC government to non-motorized access, and is protected from industrial and recreational development.
They are professional, locally owned, and dedicated to providing quality, safe, ethical and successful hunts for elk, mountain goat, grizzly bear, black bear, mule deer, whitetail deer, moose and cougar. The saddle horse and pack strings are comprised of superior mountain horses and mules. The limit the hunts to 6 hunters, spread out amongst 3 log cabin base camps and 6 wall tent spike camps. This system ensures solitude and a quality hunting experience.
Accommodations consists of 3 log cabin camps and 6 remote wall tent spike camps. The main camp has a spacious cook cabin, bunk house, tack cabin and horse corral. The West Fork Camp has a comfortable cook/bunk cabin, tack cabin and horse corral. The Hot Springs Camp has a spacious cook cabin, cozy bunk house, and tack cabin all within a short distance from a beautiful mountain hot springs; just right for soaking tired bones and celebrating that trophy hunt. All cabin camps have running water, wood heat, comfortable bunks, and bath/shower facilities. Spike camps has wall tents heated with wood stoves. Spike camps are stocked before the season. This allows them to relocate guides and hunters quickly from cabin camps to spike camps when conditions or game dictate a move.
They are elk guides. The elk hunts exemplify the true trophy hunting experience; rutting, bulging, charging elk in panoramic high mountain heaven. They pursue bulls via horse back and hiking in alpine basins, avalanche slides, spruce parkland, and big timber. Calling and stalking put the clients into position. The late season hunts target migrating bulls on their way to winter range. Only 6 spike or better bulls are harvested, ensuring abundant quality bulls. Both black bears and mule deer are included on these hunts.
