We have some of the largest moose that Canada has to offer. They can weigh as much as 1,600 pounds, and have antlers that reach 65 inches in width, with the average being 50 inches.
Our bear hunts take place in late May and June. In June, the high daily temperatures average in the 60s to lower 70s. Moose hunts are held in mid-September. September weather in northern Manitoba is similar to late October and early November weather in the upper Midwest, with periods of cool/cold, unsettled weather followed by beautiful fall like days. The weather in Northern Manitoba can vary greatly on a weekly and even daily basis. It is a good idea to pack for a wide range of weather conditions regardless of the timing of your trip. Notes:
