Surf & Turf is designed to introduce the participants to the coast in a new and fresh way. Most people experience the coast in resorts, hotels, and crowded beaches. Cape Lookout, NC is one of the last unspoiled wilderness areas on the east coast. The Cape is a place where you can be alone on the beach and witness wild horses roaming the pristine beaches, see one of the oldest functional lighthouses in the U.S., and watch sunrises explode over the eastern horizon.
The trip begins at our Base Camp in Virginia as we learn the art of packing our gear into a sea kayak, we then head to the coast where we will launch our boats and paddle away from the hustle and bustle of our every-day lives. This trip is all about being on the water. If you are a water person who likes to explore this is the trip for you!
