Here in the upper valley of the Green River, surrounded by the majestic Peaks of the Gros Ventres and the Wind River Mountain ranges you will find the Historic DC Bar Guest Ranch. Our Guest Ranch sits at the head of the valley which once was the most popular and favorite meeting place in all the west for the mountain men and the fur trappers. This area was so special that it inspired the United States National Forest Service Policy. Our Dude Ranch is adjacent to the 3 1/2 million acre Bridger-Teton National Forest which is our nations very first national forest.
Although we are only 70 miles away from Jackson Hole, you will feel a hundred years away. We are located southwest from Jackson Hole, about half way to Pinedale, Wyoming. We are just far enough away from the tourist areas to give you that real western experience. You will be surprised at the number of animals you will see here. This ranch was a very special place in the early 1900's and today in the early 2000's it still has that special feel.
