Diving cruises are designed to show the rich fish life of Maldives wrecks and of course includes night dives. On the diving cruise we also visit inhabited islands (fishing villages), resorts and uninhabited islands are visited during the cruise. Also we organize recreational activities such as cultural shows, excursions to Male, night fishing, barbecue (subject to weather and length of stay) to keep you entertained.
January to April is the best season for diving with most currents and from August to November you are likely to encounter Mantas. However, June to July brings monsoon rain and very strong winds. Our skippers have over 15 years of experience and know the best diving points and the local dive guide will guide your dives depending on the season you come. There are infinite numbers of fish and species to see within the scattered coral gardens and wrecks of Maldives. The fauna and flora is extremely rich and considered one of the best dive destinations in the world. You are likely to encounter different multi species of colored reef fish, mantas, eels, sharks etc.
The boats have accommodated clients from Europe, Asia and US for scuba diving with over 15 years. Drift diving is done most commonly in Maldives. In addition wreck diving and cave diving is practiced. The Maldives has over 1000 coral islands and is spread across the turquoise ocean. The best dive and fishing points are scattered across the country (99% sea) and the best way to enjoy and explore is on our hospitable and efficient boats with over 15 years of experience in hospitality business. Boat provides compressor, tanks, air and weights. For safety there is Oxygen on board. Maximum 3-day divers per person are allowed for the dive rate.
It is recommended that the scuba diver bring in own regulator, BCD, fins, mask etc. When you make the booking please request for the items that you would like to rent and every effort will be made to provide the equipment at reasonable cost. Generally diving safaris are arranged for “Open Water” qualified divers. However, we can arrange a Diver Instructor for an extra charge. One separate support Dive Dhoni (to keep the compressor which makes a noise when in operation and to keep all the diving equipment) is arranged. The boat can accommodate a maximum of 8 to 12 divers and their diving equipment. (Please refer to boat's specifications / details).
The Maldives has one of the best pristine clear waters and un-spoilt beaches. The non-diving person can relax and enjoy the sea and sun while giving company. Visiting village islands, anchoring at resorts, hopping to uninhabited islands and if you insist, we can accommodate sport fishing as well with scuba diving (less time for diving – if you mix big game fishing with diving). You need to send in a request with the tentative dates and depending on the availability of the boat, we will confirm. If the boats are occupied, we will recommend alternative dates. Generally a group charters boats exclusively. Sometimes even individuals charter the boat on their own or join another group.
The boats have live-aboard (rooms and bathrooms, kitchen, dining area) facilities and can accommodate 8 to 10 guests' maximum. There are 3 to 6 crew members consisting of a skipper, chef and assistants. There is a sun deck on boat for sun tanning. Indoor board games, TV and VCR are available for entertainment. Please refer to boat's description for details. Generally the cruise starts from Malé, the capital of Maldives and ends in Malé as well. However we can arrange charters from anywhere in Maldives and pickups for clients from islands or resorts can be arranged (extra charges if the pickup point is far away). Upon arrival we will receive the clients from the airport and transfer the clients to the chartered boat anchored near Male' for Free (approximately 20 minutes journey by boat). We will do ticket re-confirmation and on return from diving charter we will return the air tickets and transfer clients from boat to airport.
In addition to a return ticket you will need to have a valid passport and upon arrival you will get a 30 days tourist visa. The Maldives enjoys a tropical climate varying with an average temperature of 32 degree Celsius. Monsoon rains and strong winds are from June to July. However, as with the changing global weather Maldives weather is also changing. You should bring - good sunscreen lotion / cream, sunglasses and summer clothing and fishing clothing. If you are a diver / swimmer, please bring your snorkeling gear (mask and fins) and swim costumes or your diving gear and wet suit as well. Charter prices vary depending on the chartered boat and the period of charter. Boat charter prices are given per day.
All clients' activities such as diving, sport fishing etc must be undertaken at client's own risk and should have personal insurance to cover all events. If you would not like to go to the boat direct upon arrival or if you would like a hotel on your last day, we can arrange accommodation in a hotel in Maldives or in a resort. Please let us know your requirements. Generally charters are for minimum 7 days. The length of the cruise is at your discretion. Some people charter the boat for 7, 10, 14, 21 and 28 days.
