This course teaches you rescue techniques and diving first aid, prepare you to manage emergency situations and expand your diver awareness in preparation for leadership training. The course is run over 1 weekend and includes 5 knowledge development sessions, 5 in-water training workshops and 4 Open Water Dive Accident Scenarios.

The course teaches you techniques for self-rescue, dealing with a panicked or tired diver, and how to respond to a diver both responsive and unresponsive over and under the water. You will learn how to respond to a variety of diver emergencies and skills for dealing with them.
