Option 1: United East India Company Tour. Rich and Famous People in Amsterdam.
This is the amazing Dutch United East India Company (VOC) walking tour. Visit the cradle capitalism. This company (VOC) was the first Multinational company in the world... the VOC invented capital investment by issuing stock, and thus generated stock trade. In Africa and Asia they manned multinational stations with soldiers and traders. Thus they started the beginning of modern capitalism. This company also had its own army (what a nice touch!) and were in fact an extension of Dutch power overseas. We will discuss the plight of sailors, soldiers. Life on board. Flow of goods and money. Repression and evil actions weighing down on the local population, lasting for 300 years. A second tour is about Rich People on the main Canals. Meet the high and mighty. hear story about power and glory, investment, success, art, horrible wrongdoings and the urban planning schemes of the City Government creating those fabulous main canals. BBC quality. Date, time and Pricing are all tailor made for each group. A typical group would be about 4. Exceptionally I can manage groups of 20-30 for a special fee.
