Alkmaar, Cheese Market
The Alkmaar cheese market is unique in the world. It attracts many visitors, as it is one of the best-known sights of Holland. The market is held every Friday morning at 10am (from April to September) in front of the historical weigh house, in the pretty town center. The market derives much of its appeal from the performance of the cheese porters.
A ride through the beautiful countryside with a visit to the historical fishing- and cheese village Edam will be one the highlights of this tour.
Terms and Conditions:
- Car with Personal Driver (Comfortable, Air conditioned Full Size MPV or Mini Van).
- Only Cash payments and in Euro Currency.
- Prices can vary because of a tailor made itinerary and all start from Amsterdam (Hotel, Airport or Cruise Terminal).
- Your Driver is also your Guide: he knows the right time saving route, and is familiar with all the interesting places. Let him buy your admission tickets and you skip the lines.
Notes:
When making a tour reservation, you will be asked for your credit card number, name credit card company, expiration date and the name of the owner of the card. We will not charge the card, but hold it for booking purposes only. There will be an authenticity check of the credit card.
Tour cancellation policy: a 50 percent charge of your credit card two weeks before tour date; a 100 percent charge is made 6 days prior to the tour.
