Explore the Roman legacy at Évora (a Unesco World Heritage Site) and indulge in wine and olive oil tasting at quaint Esporão. Begin with a guided tour of Évora, the province's capital. View the incredible relics of one of 's best-preserved Roman temples; capture images of the cathedral's Romanesque and Gothic turrets; and venture into the Chapel of Bones—whose gruesome walls and pillars are covered with skulls and bones. After lunch, head to a traditional Esporão vineyard to taste two of the region's best red and white wines, accompanied by cheese and samples of fresh olive oil. We will continue to Monsaraz, where you will stay for the overnight. Monsaraz is a perfect hideaway within the walls of the old city. Tranquil and soothing. We stay in a guest house where watching the sun set on the beautiful roof terrace will always be a treasured memory of mine. Breakfast is served with a smile.
There are a selection of restaurants and artesan shops within a few metres of Casa Pinto.
