The tour begins with a trip to Mt Eden to view the crater of this extinct volcano which offers a spectacular panoramic view over Auckland City. This is a good starting point to gain some insights into Auckland’s history. From Mt Eden the tour continues through Epsom, one of Auckland’s older and more beautifully presented suburbs; into the Auckland Domain passing the Auckland Museum. Leaving the Auckland Domain, we continue through the boutique shopping area of Parnell; along the Auckland Waterfront, through the suburb of Orakei, and into one of Auckland most exclusive residential streets – Paratai Drive. Here we can enjoy superb views of Auckland Harbor and the inner Hauraki Gulf. Paratain Drive provides a great photo opportunity for views of Auckland harbor, and, as we drive along the street, the chance to view some of Auckland’s finest homes.
Leaving Paratai Drive we continue around the Auckland Waterfront to Bastion Point and the Savage Memorial, where guests have the opportunity to take a walk around the point. Leaving Bastion Point, we return to the city, and the Viaduct Bastin Harbor, the home of New Zealand’s involvement with the America’s Cup. On the return journey we travel through the popular suburb of Ponsonby reknown for it restaurants and boutiques. From Ponsonby we return to our guests’ point of departure either via Franklin of Karangahape Roads,
Option: Instead of traveline to the top of Mt Eden, guests have the option of visiting the Auckland Sky Tower Instead.
