To create a unique tour we will explore aspects of Israel today, as well as out of the ordinary places and of course we will touch the land and its history. As I guide I pull out of my magic bag a delightful array of surprises in order to make your trip in Israel not just fun, but funny and unforgettable.
Places of interest:
- Jerusalem;
Color, smell and flavors: This tour combines the amazing variety of new and old in this city. We will go through Jaffa gate to the Arab Market of the old city, visit the church of the holy Sepulcher, the Jewish Quarter, the Roman Cardo and the Wailing Wall. Those among you that are brave can hike in an ancient water canal underground and through the Kotel Tunnel.
- The Dead Sea;
A trip to the Judean desert combining jeep ride, a visit to masada, swimming in the Ein bokek spring and in the Dead Sea, and ending with an authentic dinner in a Bedouin tent.
- Mount Carmel;
We’ll begin with exploring the excavations of the Roman city of Caesarea, and from there we will go to an ancient water aqueduct where we will hike through the water. From there we will drive to the top of the Carmel Mountain and enjoy the beautiful view and the Druze cuisine.
- Golan;
We will visit the Ancient Talmudic city of Katzrin and drive up mount Bental to view the Syrian border, then we’ll visit the Golan Heights Winery and from there we’ll hike in one of the Golan’s streams.
- The Galilee;
This tour takes us to the old city of Akko on the Mediterranean, then to the grottos of Rosh Hanikra, from there we’ll drive along the border road of Lebanon to the Druze village of peki-yin where will enjoy a Druze “hafla” (party). The tour will end with a visit to the ancient synagogues of Zefat.
